Terms of use
Not advice
Everything on iotfinancial.net, in our newsletter and in our downloads, including the tools and generated drafts, is covered by this section.
- This is general information and education only. It is not financial, investment, tax, accounting, legal or regulatory advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold bitcoin or any other asset.
- It does not take account of your circumstances or those of your company.
- You must obtain your own official professional advice to confirm this information is correct before acting on it. Use a suitably qualified and, where relevant, regulated professional in your own country, who can also confirm whether it is suitable for you.
- Rules change. This information is correct to our understanding at the last-reviewed date, but it may be incomplete or out of date, and official sources take precedence.
- Using this site does not create an adviser or client relationship. IoT Financial is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and is not registered with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as an investment adviser.
- Bitcoin is volatile. A company that buys it could lose some or all of the money it puts in.
- The calculator, questionnaire and policy generator produce illustrations from your own inputs. They are not recommendations.
The same wording appears on the disclaimer page.
No services
IoT Financial does not provide investment, brokerage, exchange, custody or advisory services, and does not hold or transfer funds or assets for anyone.
Tools and templates
Tools produce results from the numbers you enter, using the formulas and rules shown on each page. Templates and generated drafts are starting points for review by your advisers. You are responsible for how you use them.
Accuracy
We aim to keep content accurate and cite primary sources, but rules and standards change. Content may be out of date or incomplete. Always check the current version of a source.
Limitation of liability
- To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for decisions made on the basis of this site, its tools or its downloads.
- To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss, including loss of funds, assets, profit, data or opportunity, arising from use of, or reliance on, this site, its tools, the newsletter, the template or any generated draft.
- You are responsible for your own decisions and for obtaining your own professional advice before acting.
- Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, or any rights you have that cannot be waived by law.
Use of content
You may use the templates and generated drafts within your own company. Please do not republish the site's guides as your own.
Third-party links
We link to regulators, tax authorities and standard setters. We are not responsible for their content. We have no affiliate relationships.
Governing law
These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or with your use of the site, are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer living elsewhere you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts where you live, and nothing in these terms removes any mandatory protection you have under the law of the place where you live.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
